This only happens once a year and it’s BIG! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has officially begun! #NSale
A little background: Nordstrom is a luxury department store that offers mid-level and high-end brands in their inventory. They do not offer coupons, so sales are the best way to save money. Even so, you will not see sales on the regular. They have 6 sales throughout the year, including this one. More reason to take advantage.
While I adore Nordstrom and have been a loyal shopper for years, it is not a frequent shopping destination for me due to the prices. I always wait for items to go on sale as well as utilize my Nordstrom Notes to save money on high-ticketed items. If I pay full price for an item, it’s a standard price across other retailers like my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation.
When does the #NSale begin?
Now until August 4th. The pre-sale is currently underway and lasts for 7 days. Only Nordstrom cardmembers can take advantage of the exclusive deals in the first week. The credit card is your key for early access. On Friday, July 19th, the sale opens to the public (everyone else). Prices go back to original, full price on August 5th for everyone.

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale/Why is it so great?
Nordstrom’s best and most loved sale of the year. There are significant markdowns across all departments that only takes place once a year in the Summer. This is not your average after-season clearance event. Not only do they markdown Summer merchandise, but the bulk of the sale is also new Fall (and Winter) arrivals. This is a great time to get your trendy pieces ahead of the season and stock up on staples/basic items like boots and cardigans that you can wear for the next year or two. If you like designer, this is your chance to get pieces at affordable prices. Items sell out fast, so you better act fast. Also, don’t expect to see the new Fall items greatly discounted again until next year around Spring.
From shoes to bedding, you will find discounted brands like North Face, Spanx, Donna Karan, Hunter, UGG, Vince Camuto, Nike, Ted Baker, Madewell, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Marc Fisher and many more!
Why shop Nordstrom?
They price match for you. If a lower price is found at a similar retailer, Nordstrom will adjust the price and make it the same as the other retailer. Even though I said no coupons, you can earn Nordstrom Notes through the free reward program (The Nordy Club Rewards) to use on anything! Free returns and free shipping, always.
How to shop early?
You must have a Nordstrom credit card account to get sale prices in-store and online. You can still sign up for the CC and enjoy early access until July 19th. You do not need your physical card at checkout as long as you have an approved/valid CC account. To shop early access online, you will link the card to your online Nordstrom account. You are not required to pay with the CC, but it must be linked to checkout with the discounted price(s). You may pay with any type of card. Non-cardmembers can begin shopping the sale on July 19th.
Sidenote: I love all the perks of being a Nordstrom cardmember and I recommend getting the CC if you plan on shopping the sale and future sales. I also suggest paying it off right away. I will not and do not encourage you to go into debt to shop. If you are unfamiliar with how a line of credit works, please do not apply.
