Crazy About Kimonos

Springtime is one of the best times to wear kimonos. They are great transitional pieces coming out of Fall. They help add another layer to your outfit giving it that extra detail.

Dress up a basic or solid tee like I did above. I like to pick the lightest or smallest amount of color in a top or dress and bring it out with a kimono.

Pick ones that add some extra colors, patterns or textures. This one below enhances the white stripes in the dress while adding texture with a subtly distressed, floral pattern.

A good kimono is also one you can wear with multiple pieces in your closet. If you’re like me, you may love something so much that you wear it on repeat. When I do, I like to wear it a different way. Same piece, different look: tie the ends in a knot for some extra detail. The closer to the ends you can tie it, the more draped coverage you can add across your top. Bonus: wear them over a bathing suit as a cute coverup.

You don’t want to be buried or weighed down in layers while the weather is getting warmer. It may be too hot for jackets and sweaters as layering/texturing pieces, so light and thinner kimonos are what you need. You can click the pictures to see the items and even shop them directly.

I have linked the lace kimono here in mustard. (Use code VIP20 to get 20% off today only.)

A few other favorites: distressed blush, floral, crochet, lace, another lace option and striped. Or, go HERE for Target and search “kimono”. You won’t be disappointed at the pretty options.
